Joseph Calderaro is an “eighth-grade optimist” whose “bag of barbecue chips is always half full.” That is until he has a lousy 14th birthday and his teacher assigns a 1,500-word paper called Tracing Your Past: A Heritage Essay. The only trouble is, Joseph is adopted. Fourteen years ago he was left on the steps... Continue reading »
Calamari.
By Aga Girls in food , 4 days ago
This recipe originally came from nigella express and in my opinion it is one of her best recipes. It make a great light meal with salad or a super easy canape. Don't bother buying fresh squid for this, it is more expensive and you should always freeze squid before cooking it as it tenderises the fish anyway. Waitrose... Continue reading »
Calamari Tacos with Salsa Naranja
By Closet cooking in food , on 23 April 2012, 19:21
Now that I had a fresh batch of the salsa naranja or orange salsa it was time to use it in something and first up was some calamari tacos inspired by Kogi BBQ. Up until I heard about these tacos, I had never even thought about using calamari in tacos and I was immediately enchanted by the idea! The calamari is... Continue reading »

Yes, it's all true!...sad to say, but it is! Last Sunday, the day of my previous post with my simple but yummy almond cookies, I had... Continue reading »

Comfort Food: Fried Calamari Recipe
By The Frugalista Diaries in fashion , on 18 December 2011, 00:08
Since I grew up near the water in Florida, it only made sense that my first foods included lobster and calamari, among others. Calamari Stewed with Tomatoes
By Simply recipes in food , on 18 December 2010, 15:55
Squid can be cooked one of two ways: For the blink of an eye, or for a long, long time. Anything in between and it is rubbery. This dish, which is our version of a Southern Italian classic called calamari in umido, takes the long view of calamari cooking. Think of this dish as something between a stew and a pasta... Open thread again. We'll be here for all eternity, try the calamari
By Pharyngula in culture , on 11 February 2010, 09:25
I do feel a little embarrassed that the most active comment thread on all of scienceblogs is often the endless open thread on Pharyngula, which is about nothing at all but what you crazy people want to say…and that's in spite of the fact that I keep closing the old thread and opening a new one. Anyway, here we... Continue reading »
